JCShell Tutorial - Applet Interaction

Select the applet

All APDU's sent to the card are processed by the "active" applet.
Use the JCShell "/select" command to give the focus to an applet and activate it.
It's easy to find the applet's AID after a successful execution of a "card-info" command.
Usage: /select <applet_AID>   (for more info see: /select command description)

Enter the <applet_AID> as a HEX-String or as a ASCII-String with a leading | sign.

Send data to the applet

After selection, the applet is ready to process your APDU's.
Use the JCShell "/send" command to send data to the card.

The APDU send to the card must contain the following header informations:

Simple send command

Deselect the applet

Use the JCShell "/card" command to return the focus to the Card Manager.
Usage: /card   (for more info see: /card command description)

Close the connection

Use the JCShell "/close" command to disconnect from the Card Manager and close the active terminal.
After this, the terminal (or simulator) is ready and waiting for new connections.
