Welcome to the JCOP Tools User Guide

JCOP Tools is a plug-in for Eclipse and its integrated Java Development Tooling (JDT) to facilitate the development of Java Card™ applets.

The JCOP Tools offer:

• Simulations of IBM JCOP-based Java Cards with source-level debugging, and performance profiling capabilities.



• The JCOP Shell, an extensible, interactive command-line tool to communicate with simulations or smart cards at APDU level.



• The JCOP off-card API, an application programmer's interface for client applications interacting with GlobalPlatform™ compliant smart-cards, and a Java Card Remote Method Invocation (RMI) client API based on it.



• A Java Card byte code converter
