cd /usr/local/pcsc/drivers/
tar xvzf ifd-sm-x.y.z.tgz (where x.y.z is the revision)
cd ifd-sm-x.y.z
make

if /dev/pcsc/ doesn't exist, create it.
mkdir /dev/pcsc

cd /dev/pcsc
ln -s /dev/ttyS0 1

Add the following entry to your reader.conf (located for me in /etc/)
FRIENDLYNAME "SM1 Reader"

Pierrick Hascoet <pierrick.hascoet@hydromel.net>
Ron van der Hoorn <ron@gis.co.uk>
Ludovic Rousseau <ludovic.rousseau@free.fr>

Alexandre Becoulet for his work that I have modified to do this ifdhandler. (http://etud.epita.fr/~becoul_a/sctk/sctk-0.3.2.tar.gz)
David Corcoran for the PC/SC Lite.
Pierrick Hascoet gives me the link on the work of Alexandre Becoulet.
Ron van der Hoorn explains me the protocol used for the SM1 reader of its company.
Jean-Luc Giraud and Ludovic Rousseau give me some ideas through their GemCore driver. Thanks also for their activity on the mailing list: muscle@lists.musclecard.com

Why I develop this ifdhandler?
One SM1 reader was on my desk and while I work on a Linux environment, I can't used it.
Also I wished support PC/SC Lite.

This is my first development for the community and excuse me if there are some problems on the support. After the development of this ifdhandler I am conscious of difficulties for the developers of FREE driver. These works spend a little time and get not money.
Thank them and send them some gifts or money to help them to improve the support.

Regards,

Damien Sauveron <damien.sauveron@labri.fr>
